Bloody Mary’s are the perfect cocktail at Sunday brunch. Heck, they’re the perfect cocktail any given day. People tend to drink them in the late morning after a heavy night of drinking. It’s known for healing hangovers. It’s combination of salt, alcohol, and vegetable base seem to be the ideal “hair of the dog”.
There are many variations to this drink. The classic Bloody Mary is made with vodka and tomato juice, along with spices, and can be garnished with anything your heart desires. There is also the Bloody Maria which is made with tequila. The Red Snapper is spiked with gin. Then, there’s the Caesar, featuring Clamato juice. Yum. Today I have for you the ultimate Bloody Mary recipe.
Ingredients You Need:
Vodka
Tomato juice
Celery Salt
Pepper
Smoked paprika
Horseradish
Worcester sauce
Tabasco sauce
Garnish:
Baby bell pepper
Cherry tomato
Celery Stalk
Lemon
Smoked chili salt for the rim
How To Make A Bloody Mary:
I like to use a pint glass for this cocktail. To rim the glass, start by placing the smoked chili salt on a small plate and rim the glass with a wedge of lemon. Next, place the rim of the glass into the smoked chili salt. Set aside and grab your spices. You can also prep your garnishes and set them aside, we’ll add those at the end.
I use a bar shaker to mix all the ingredients, this will help emulsify and integrate the ingredients. Pour your vodka and tomato juice in the shaker with ice. Layer your spices. Add the worcester, the tabasco, and the lemon juice. I just use a squeeze of one lemon slice. This always turns out to be the perfect amount. Then add your horseradish and shake! Add contents to your rimmed pint glass and top off with ice. Finally, your drink is ready to garnish. Add those garnishes to a cocktail pick and place them on the side of the glass. Enjoy!

Ingredients
2 ounces of vodka
6 ounces of tomato juice
3 dashes of worchester sauce
pinch of celery salt
pinch of cracked pepper
pinch of smoked paprika
smoked chili salt( for glass rim)
bar spoon of horseradish
3 dashes of tobascco sauce
fresh squeeze of lemon slice
two cherry tomatos
baby bell pepper
celery stalk
lemon wedge
Directions
- Rim the pint glass with the lemon wedge and smoked chili salt
- Add ice to the glass and add vodka and tomato juice
- Sprinkle in the dry spices
- Add the worchestire, tobascco and the horseradish
- Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and stir
- Add garnishes and enjoy

- Trade the vodka for tequila and you have yourself a Bloody Maria!
