The Best Guacamole Recipe

guac

Guacamole has always been one of my favorite ways to eat avocados. They’re so fresh and buttery. Add in some lime juice and authentic guacamole ingredients and you have the best guacamole recipe. There are so many ways to make guacamole, but this is a family recipe that’s been served at many gatherings. This best guacamole recipe is sure to be a hit at any table.

What you will need:

Ripe avocados

Limes

Salt and Pepper

Cumin

Fresh Cilantro

Vine ripe tomatoes diced

Chopped fresh garlic

How to make:

Start by slicing and pitting 4 avocados and add them to a large bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork, or muddler, being sure not to over mash. You want the texture to be a little chunky. It will smooth out more when you add the rest of the ingredients.

Then, add the finely chopped garlic and fresh chopped cilantro. I know a lot of guacamole recipes use red onion, which is a great substitute to replace the garlic or add them both. I am a huge fan of fresh garlic and all its health benefits, so garlic is just my personal preference.

Next, you’re going to add the diced vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh-squeezed lime juice. Add the cumin, salt, and pepper to taste and fold the ingredients together. Top with more fresh cilantro and a lime wedge and enjoy. Serve with fresh veggies or tortilla chips.
