Power Breakfast Bowl

This power breakfast bowl is one of my favorite breakfast recipes simply because it is so easy to make. The sweetness of the berries and tartness of the apples makes this sweet treat so delicious. It’s great for a snack or any time of the day. The name speaks for itself with this power breakfast bowl. Not only does it have your daily fruit intake but it packs in protein and fat from the nuts. An added bonus is the vitamins and minerals from the sweet maple syrup and it is oh.. so.. good.

Power breakfast bowls are versatile and easy to make. The possibilities are endless. This recipe is also delicious if you wanted to add in some nonfat greek yogurt. Also, instead of the granola use your favorite oatmeal for a warm heartier option.

strawberries, power breakfast bowl

What you will need:

1 red and 1 green apple

A handful of mixed berries of choice I like using a mixture of blueberries and raspberries.

A sliced banana

1/4 cup of granola

A handful of chopped nuts like pecans or cashews

1 Tbs of maple syrup

Sprinkle of cinnamon

Splash of Coconut milk or another dairy alternative of choice.

apples, power breakfast bowl

Start by washing and cutting all my fruit. Dice the apples and slice the banana. Slice berries in half if using strawberries. Place the diced apple in a bowl and layer the berry mixture on top. Then I layer the banana over the berries and add the nuts. I like the nuts to be chopped and it’s really easy to do using this silent grinder. Drizzle with maple syrup and add the sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Lastly, splash in some coconut milk or any dairy milk alternative of choice and enjoy.

I love getting creative with this recipe and try this power breakfast bowl with your favorite fruit. A tool in the kitchen that is a must-have for me is this powder shaker for my cinnamon. It’s great for being your own barista too! I love serving this dish in my favorite porcelain bowls.
